Sturtze has real shot at making club
PHOENIX -- Right-hander Tanyon Sturtze (pictured at left) has emerged as a strong possibility to make the club, Manager Joe Torre said this morning.
Sturztze, who battled back from shoulder surgery and pitched in three big-league games for the Dodgers last season, has a 3.00 earned-run average in eight spring appearances.
Torre, who managed Sturtze in New York, said the 38-year-old non-roster invitee looks much better than he did a spring ago.
