Not So Bold Predictions

And now (and not because nobody asked me for some reason) some postseason predictions.

ALDS
A's over Twins, 3-1
Yankees over Tigers, 3-0

NDLS
Padres over Cardinals, 3-2
Dodgers over Mets, 3-1

ALCS
Yankees over A's, 4-1
MVP: Alex Rodriguez

NLCS
Padres over Dodgers, 4-2
MVP: Trevor Hoffman

World Series
Yankees over Padres, 4-1
MVP: Johnny Damon

Hoffman is nobody's MVP. He's a salesman who has a media army pounding support for him every minute. He always chokes in the biggest spots, refuses to pitch more than 1 inning, and is scared to death of Mariano Rivera. Unless you were joking, which I hope is the case.

It's a prediction of who I think will be voted NLCS MVP (note, *NOT* NL MVP).

In no way am I comparing him to Rivera.. but there's nothing wrong with his 0.97 WHIP, .205 BAA, 2.14 ERA amd 46 saves this year either.

The point is that if the Padres are to win four games, at least three of them should be low scoring, save-related affairs, and that means a good shot at NLCS MVP for Hoffman
