What's Wrong With This Picture?
I really can't believe how truly awful Yahoo!'s sports department and editing staff truly are. This kind of stuff just keeps happening. ![]() Labels: yahoo

Should Win, Will Win (2009 Edition)
Just as in year's past, I'm going to guess at who will win the major awards, and who should win the major awards. I think the writers are getting better at these awards, but there's still a long way to go. In any event, my picks:
We'll see what happens - maybe I'm giving the writers too much credit. Labels: awards, predictions, should win will win

Jeter's a Thespian
From an MLB release: A down-on-his-luck Derek Jeter was wandering the Coney Island boardwalk on Thursday afternoon, but it was all for show - the Yankees captain is playing himself in the upcoming movie, "The Other Guys."You'd think Jeter would be an odd casting choice considering he's not really known for his range. I dug up some photos. Enjoy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Labels: derek jeter, marky mark, movies, will ferrell

Nice to See PeteAbe Still Reads LoHud
PeteAbe's article on the Yankees' victory on Boston.com. Chad Jennings' article from Game 5 of the World Series. Man oh man, PeteAbe should just stick to creating anonymous trolls that defend his articles on NoMaas. If you want a good laugh, make sure to read the comments. (hat tip to Rex Banner for the heads up)

Cliff Lee had a 6.43 ERA for the game, but the geniuses at FOX gave him the Player of the Game. Utley? Sorry, buddy your two homers aren't good enough. Labels: 2009 world series, awards, chase utley, cliff lee, phillies

Gaudin Should Be Starting Game 5
Fact: AJ Burnett is much better at home. Fact: Cliff Lee is pitching tonight and if the Yankkees can't muster anything against him, you waste Burnett. Fact: Burnett would be on regular rest in Game 6. Fact: This forces Pettitte to pitch on short rest. I think Girardi is overplaying his hand here. We'll see.
